3. Equipping Medical Centers to Support Women with Cancer
Medical aid to Women with Cancer in Nicaragua has been limited to two medical centers in Nicaragua, the Berta Calderón Hospital in Managua, depending directly from the Ministry of Health of Nicaragua (MINSA) and the Escuela Hospital in León. Both medical centers lack adequate infrastructure and equipment, medical materials and supplies, including lack of technical training for the administration of such materials, which are basic elements to respond to the needs of patients requiring attention for treatment.
To support these medical centers, through donations, the Foundation aims at supporting the equipping and furnishing of medical supplies for the basic treatment those women patients diagnosed with breast cancer requires. |
